Sécure Lodge hosts just six anglers per week, offering exclusive access to the Upper and Mid Sécure River, plus remote creeks like Maniquicito and Ashahana. This region is known for its dense Dorado population and is arguably the top spot for targeting the elusive Pacú.
Anglers can venture deep into the headwaters for overnight trips and fish waters rarely touched. The lodge itself is comfortable and stylish, featuring four African-style tent cabins with private bathrooms, electricity, ceiling fans, and cozy furnishings.
The Sécure River slices through remote jungle mountains, its clear waters alive with Golden Dorado, Pacú, and Yatorana. Reached by hand-carved dugout canoes powered by small engines, this is a true fly-fishing expedition into the wild.
Most fishing is done while wading, casting from gravel bars, riverbanks, or directly in the water. Tsimane’s native-style 28′ boats, guided by skilled locals, get you from run to run with ease. For the truly adventurous, overnight camps at the river’s headwaters offer rare chances to target untouched fish.
From May to October, the jungle explodes with life as millions of Sabalo and Dorado migrate upstream. Frenzies are common but so are technical challenges. Clear water and spooky fish demand fast reflexes, accurate casts, and big flies. Listen to your guide, they’ll help you land the fish of a lifetime.
Bring your own gear, extra rods, and felt-soled wading boots with studs. This is raw, remote, adrenaline-filled fly fishing at its finest.
Secure Lodge offers six private single-occupancy rooms with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, hot water, and full generator-powered electricity. The spacious dining and common areas provide a cozy retreat after a day of fishing in this remote jungle setting. Built from sustainable local wood, the lodge blends comfort with nature.
Guests enjoy double rooms, free Wi-Fi, laundry service, and an on-site fly shop. The lodge serves delicious international cuisine paired with top Argentinean, Chilean, and Bolivian wines. Breakfast is cooked to order, lunches are packed for fishing days, and an all-inclusive bar offers liquor, spirits, and specialty drinks. The staff gladly accommodates special dietary requests.
The lodge accommodates up to six anglers plus one host and three non-anglers, for a total of ten guests.
The 2026 rate is $8,670 per person, including single ensuite accommodation and a guide ratio of two anglers per guide.
