Their diverse offerings cater to a wide range of anglers, with both land-based and mothership options available at varying price points. Every destination within the Aussie Flyfisher portfolio offers a unique fishing experience. Your choice of location will largely depend on the species you are most interested in pursuing.
Many areas provide exceptional opportunities for Permit fishing, particularly the Indo-Pacific Permit and Anak Permit. Other highly sought-after species include Giant Trevally, Blue Bastards, Tuskfish, and Golden Trevally.
Fishing is conducted from custom-built skiffs with shallow drafts and equipped with electric motors, ensuring access to a variety of flats and inshore waters. Anglers will also have the chance to walk and wade along beaches and flats, as well as target a diverse range of offshore species in deeper waters.
Aussie Flyfisher operates five premier programs, primarily throughout the Northern Territory of Australia and the Exmouth region in the North West.
Wessel Islands operates for 14 weeks, from late April to mid-July, accommodating a maximum of six anglers per week. This program is based on a highly comfortable mothership.
Cape York Lodge runs for approximately seven months, from mid-April to mid-November, hosting up to six or eight anglers. This is a land-based operation centered at Cape York Lodge.
Cape York West Mothership runs for 12 weeks, from late June to the end of September, with a maximum of four anglers per week. This mothership-based program is ideal for smaller groups.
Cape York East Mothership operates for 6–7 weeks, from mid-October to early December, accommodating up to four guests. This program is also mothership-based.
Exmouth – Western Australia operates for seven months and hosts up to four anglers. This is a land-based operation offering access to the region’s best fishing grounds.
Travel arrangements may differ depending on your chosen destination. In most cases, you will fly into either Cairns or Perth as your primary point of entry. Please ensure that you have reviewed and complied with all relevant visa requirements prior to travel.
